These are the Oseberg shoe that i made. i got the pattern off Etsy from foxes and ravens. it was an easy to follow pattern i made a mock up out of thin chrome tan and then made these out of  2-3 ounce veg tan leather. i used a medium brown oil dye over the boot. the boots are machine sewn on my elna sewing machine. that sewing machine is great i can sew 7 layers of canvas like butter.

This project was fun. it was my second set of arm armour that i have made. but this time i played with some wax. so i cut out my shapes that i needed and followed the patterns that i was given by Master Aaron of the black mountain. first i water formed them to the shape they needed to be then i dyed my leather and antiqued it. after that dried, i melted 1 pound of bees wax and 6 small white emergency candles and mixed them together in a slow cooker. i quickly dipped my leather in the wax till there was only some bubbles. then i took a naturally bristled paint brush and painted more wax on the pieces all over till there was excess wax and the leather wouldn't take anymore. after they dried they were nice and hard but still flexible and still had excess wax on them. so i took my heat gun and on low heat went over each piece inside and out and buffed the rest of the wax into the leather with a cloth.
